Diabetes Day featuring Grand Rounds Speaker Dr. Odoms-Young

Tuesday, October 13, 2020

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Mark your calendars onT October 13, 2020 12pm-1pm to stop by our virtual Diabetes Day Grand Rounds given this year by our own AHS faculty, Dr. Angela Odoms-Young.

Dr. Odoms-Young’s talk, entitled “Context Matters: Implications of Systemic Racism and Income Inequality for Addressing Disparities in Diabetes”, is likely a talk that will resonate with many of us across the College, even if your work isn’t specific to diabetes.  Please consider stopping by our Grand Rounds that afternoon to not only learn something, but to be part of a call to action, and equally important to support our own faculty.

Diabetes Day offers an opportunity for trainees to submit posters.  Work does not need to be diabetes specific, but can be related to diabetes-related complications, such as obesity.  There are awards for best posters!  And new this year, we are accepting applications for an Early Investigator Award and New Investigator Award.

Registration link and more details are forthcoming.
