Autism Clinic and TAP Training Center

The Autism Clinic and TAP Training Center at UIC is a specialty clinic devoted to serving children, adolescents, and adults with known or suspected Autism Spectrum Disorders. Housed at the Developmental Disabilities Family Clinics of the Institute on Disability and Human Development (IDHD), the Autism Clinic & TAP Training Center's mission is to improve the lives of individuals with autism and their families through clinical service, community, academic, and professional training, and research. The Autism Clinic and TAP Training Center is dedicated to serving underserved urban minority groups in the city of Chicago and surrounding areas.

Clinical Services

The Autism Clinic has an emphasis on the differential diagnosis of autism and related disorders. In recognition that most individuals with autism require intensive intervention services in the community and through school and community programs, the Autism Clinic is equally committed to providing consultation and training to families, school districts, and intervention programs in the community. Our professional team has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ASD through the lifespan.
