Congratulations to DHD Postdoctoral Research Associate Carli Friedman on being chosen for the 2016 Council on Research and Evaluation (CORE) Trainee Research Award from the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD).
This award is presented annually to recognize outstanding research accomplishments by trainees in the AUCD network.
A short excerpt from her nomination letter by colleagues states:
Carli asks probing questions, pursues unchartered territory, and exhibits the professionalism and creativity needed for a young researcher. She has the clear intellect, deep commitment and wide-ranging interests that are predictive of a very successful scholar. Carli is not only curious about a myriad of research questions on intellectual and developmental disability, but she pushes herself to answer the question of what is at stake in those questions. The values of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary scholarship are infused into all of her research and teaching activities.
Friedman will be presented with the award at the December AUCD Annual Conference in Washington, DC.
