Autism Webinar Series – Transition Planning and Parent Empowerment: It’s Never Too Soon To Start

Participants will learn the components of the NSSEO transition planning process and the role of both the family, educational team and adult agency. The presenter will share their Transition Action Planning meeting tools to help guide the conversation in developing meaningful post- secondary outcomes. Additional information will be shared around NSSEO’s Parent Education Resource Center (PERC) and how it has transformed parents thinking and planning for the future.

Following this presentation, participants will:

  • Understand the components of the NSSEO transition planning process
  • Understand the role of the family, agency and educational team in the transition planning process
  • Learn about the tools used in the Transition Action Planning Meeting
  • Understand the importance of parent education and empowerment
