Webinar description: Behavior analytic intervention is one of the most supported evidence-based practices for individuals diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities. The recent development in behavior analysis advanced beyond traditional ABA approaches on human language and cognition, and as a result, multiple new teaching paradigms have emerged. In this webinar, we will explore two of these paradigms: equivalence-based instructions targeting language and cognition, and mindfulness intervention targeting social-emotional development. We will briefly explore their theoretical underpinnings, differences with traditional behavior-analytic approaches, and evidence of their effectiveness. We will also discuss implications for practitioners when integrating these two paradigms into their practices.
