Validation of the Revised AOTA Fieldwork Performance Evaluation

12:00-1:00pm

Presenters:
Kathryn Duke
Catherine Killian
Kathy Preissner

The current versions of the Level II Fieldwork Performance Evaluation (FWPE) for the Occupational Therapy Student and the Occupational Therapy Assistant Student were developed in the early 2000s. As a result of changes in the past two decades (e.g. reimbursement, productivity expectations, emerging areas of practice) the American Occupational Therapy Association has led a multi-step process to update both versions (OT and OTA) of the FWPEs. Contributing to this effort, a team at the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago has completed a 2-phase process to validate revised items of the FWPEs. In this presentation, methods and findings from both phases of the validation process will be presented.

SOP lectures are free and open to anyone. Unless otherwise indicated, RSVP is not required a given event. Occupational therapy practitioners who are currently licensed in Illinois can earn CE credit for attending, as the UIC Department of Occupational Therapy is licensed as a CE provider by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation.
