Paper by Brian Grossman and Courtney Mullin selected as 2018 featured abstract by the Society for the Study of Social Problems

In August 2018 Dr. Brian R. Grossman and doctoral student Courtney Mullin presented a paper at a session on institutional ethnography and labor at the annual meeting of the Society for the Study of Social Problems (SSSP) in Philadelphia, PA.  After the conference, the paper entitled,  “Working to Move: The Hidden Work of Medicaid Personal Care Assistance (PCA) Services Users Planning and Pursuing Cross-state Moves,” was selected as one of seven presentations to be a featured abstract.

The analysis for this paper was based on interviews with Medicaid PCA users planning and pursuing cross-state moves gathered through funds from the UIC Office of Vice Chancellor for Research Campus Research Board Award.
