Kathy Preissner presents at the Participatory Arts Symposium

OT clinical associate professor Kathy Preissner presented and was a panel speaker at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum’s Participatory Arts: The Legacy of Chicago’s Hull-House Artists.

At the week-long symposium, which is part of the city-wide Art Design Chicago, Preissner presented about the beginnings of occupational therapy education at Hull-House, which included the use of various art forms, and she discussed how this therapeutic work was influenced by progressive ideas and led to social change.
