Sangeetha Madhavan is awarded a $1.8 million NIH R01 renewal grant

Sangeetha Madhavan (PI) has been awarded a $1.8 milliion (IDC $2.6 million) NIH R01 competitive grant renewal for five years for the research project “Cortical priming to optimize gait rehabilitation post stroke” from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. The project will be an important step towards the development of a promising therapeutic approach that utilizes brain stimulation and high intensity treadmill training to increase neural drive and walking capacity in stroke survivors and further understand patient-specific responses to prescribe custom walking treatments.
