MS in Nutrition, Coordinated, University of Illinois at Chicago
This program is designed for those students who wish to earn a master's degree while gaining eligibility to become a registered dietitian. The program combines graduate-level coursework in nutrition with the clinical curriculum and supervised practice that allows graduates to sit for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics examination for registered dietitians. Upon admission, your advisor will work with you to tailor an individualized program of study according to your background, interests and goals. This program is ideal for those individuals who have earned a BS degree in another field, but are now interested in becoming a registered dietitian.
It typically takes three years of full-time study to complete this program. Once you have completed both the coordinated program and the master’s of nutrition, you have many options concerning your career. You may choose to focus on research or practice dietetics at an advanced level.
The MS coordinated program in dietetics is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
