MS in Nutrition, Traditional, University of Illinois at Chicago
The Master of Science Traditional Program prepares graduates to function as practitioners with advanced knowledge and skills in human nutrition and dietetics. The program is designed for students interested in pursuing positions as chief clinical dietitian, clinical nutrition specialist, clinical nutrition instructor, and research nutritionist. A graduate may also find employment in industry, community nutrition, public relations, government, private practice, or in research.
This program could also serve as preliminary preparation for enrollment in the PhD program. Career goals should be discussed with the advisor early in the program in order to plan graduate educational and research experiences.
This program is intended for those who are already practicing dietitians and/or for those who are contemplating pursuing a PhD in nutrition.
