Clinical Assistant Professor, Physical Therapy
Richard E. Sroka PT, MPT, OCS, FAAOMPT is a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor in UIC's PT department. Rich graduated from Midwestern University with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. Rich earned Board Certification in Orthopedics as recognized by the APTA. Rich attended the Manual Therapy Institute and earned Fellow status in manual therapy from the American Association of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Currently, Rich is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy with a dissertation focus on multifidus muscle atrophy of the lumbar spine. He coordinates and teaches the spine and extremity courses. Rich’s clinical background includes outpatient orthopedics with a special interest in the spinal dysfunction and rehabilitation. Along with teaching students in musculoskeletal dysfunction, Rich treats patients at the UIC Faculty Practice.
