14th Annual Minority Health Conference

The 2023 Minority Health Conference is happening soon! Register to attend on April 7, 2023.

The 2023 UIC Minority Health Conference Planning Team is excited to announce this year’s keynote speaker, Dr. Linda Rae Murray! Dr. Murray is currently the Chief Medical Officer for the Cook County Department of Public Health. She has spent her career serving the medically underserved and advocating for social justice and greater access to healthcare services for over 40 years.

We are honored to have Dr. Murray close out the 2023 Minority Health Conference and we look forward to her insights and perspectives on this year’s topic, Interprofessional Health. We hope you join us for the Minority Health Conference and for Dr. Murray’s closing speech!

Students, faculty and researchers external to UIC at all levels and from all disciplines are encouraged to present on their work. Presentations should relate to the theme of interpersonal health and at least one of the following themes:  health literacy, team-based healthcare, ethically or linguistically relevant care, methods that build trust in the healthcare system, methods to build a successful interdisciplinary team, health equity, discrimination and inclusion, dissemination of health information in communities, health knowledge sharing across disciplines or collaborative partnerships across fields. Submit your abstract by Friday, February 17 at 5 pm.
