There are many areas you can support within AHS. No matter where you give, the positive impact of your donation is very real. The funds listed below are available for gift designation.

    To provide awards to graduate students in the BVIS program who are in good academic standing and have financial need

    For unrestricted use in the biomedical visualization program

    For outstanding health information management students
  • UIC Great Lakes Informatics Student Travel Award Fund
    To promote student travel to health information management-related professional conferences

    For unrestricted use in the health information management program

    For unrestricted use in the health informatics program
  • UIC Lawrence M. Pawola Travel Fund
    To provide support for BHIS students to attend professional conferences and development opportunities; support may include but is not limited to funding for travel and lodging costs, conference registration, and presentation material costs
  • UIC Professor Beverly Fiorella Student Awards in HIM and HI Fund
    To provide awards to undergraduate HIM and graduate HI students who have financial need and demonstrate academic merit
  • UIC Rita M. Finnegan Academic Achievement Award
    To provide support for undergraduate HIM students with academic merit

Department of Disability and Human Development (DHD)

  • Anne Hopkins Scholarship Fund
    For DHD graduate students in good academic standing who demonstrate financial need and research one of the following topics: disability and sex, relationships and dating; social model of disability; social entrepreneurship
  • Carlos Drazen Memorial Research Award
    For DHD graduate students who research race and disability
  • Edward Page-el Fund MD Student Award Fund
    For DHD graduate students in good academic standing who demonstrate financial need
  • UIC Albrecht Global Lecture on Disability Endowed Fund
    To feature an internationally renowned disabilities scholar at a lecture
  • UIC Assistive Technology Unit Fund
    For unrestricted support of the ATU, including but not limited to equipment purchase and modification, community distribution, and educational efforts
  • UIC Bodies of Work Support Fund
    For the Bodies of Work Project in the Department of Disability and Human Development
  • UIC Disability and Human Development Annual Fund
    For unrestricted use in the Department of Disability and Human Development
  • UIC – DPOCC (Disabled People of Color Coalition) Fund
    To provide unrestricted support for the collaborative work between DHD and the Chicagoland Disabled People of Color Coalition; the fund supports scholarships, accessibility accommodations, travel costs, seminar support, and other such needs
  • UIC Neal H. Gottlieb Memorial Scholarship Fund
    For undergraduate students enrolled in the BS in DHD program. Preference is given to students who have financial need; are enrolled in their third or fourth year, and who have a documented physical disability

Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition (KN)

  • Phyllis and Sam Bowen Endowed Scholarship Fund
    For nutrition students with preference for those who demonstrate financial need
  • UIC Kinesiology Annual Fund
    For unrestricted use in the kinesiology programs
  • UIC Kinesiology Student Award Fund
    For undergraduate, graduate and doctoral kinesiology students who demonstrate academic achievement and/or financial need
  • UIC Nutrition Science Annual Fund
    For unrestricted use in the nutrition programs
  • UIC Nutrition Student Award Fund
    For undergraduate and graduate nutrition students who demonstrate academic achievement and/or financial need

Department of Occupational Therapy (OT)

  • Center for Everyday Participation Support Fund
    To support the construction, renovation and maintenance of the OT model apartment suite
  • UIC Barbara Loomis Scholarship in Occupational Therapy Fund
    For occupational therapy students who demonstrate an interest and/or potential in becoming OT educators
  • UIC Beatrice D. Wade Occupational Therapy Award
    For outstanding OT senior year students who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to OT
  • UIC Gary Kielhofner Model of Human Occupation Endowed Fund
    For student, clinician, post-doctoral fellow or faculty research and scholarship that is focused on the Model of Human Occupation in OT
  • UIC Jackson-Frey Scholarship for Occupational Therapy Fund
    For scholarships to OT graduate students who have financial need and are veterans with honorable discharge from a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces
  • UIC Occupational Therapy Alumni Scholarship Fund
    To provide support for graduate and professional OT students with financial need.

    For unrestricted use in OT
  • UIC Occupational Therapy Doctoral Student Award Fund
    For OT doctoral students’ dissertation or doctoral project

    For OT students’ travel, lodging and registration expenses for conferences and professional events
  • UIC Rhoda P. Erhardt Endowed Scholarship Fund
    To provide support for graduate and professional OT students with financial need who are interested in pursuing a career in pediatrics
  • UIC Sandye Jacobson Lerner OT Scholarship Fund
    To provide support for graduate and professional OT students with financial need
  • UIC Velma Louisa Reichenbach Endowed Fund
    To bring guest speakers that bridge research, education and clinical practice in OT
  • Winifred E. Scott Occupational Therapy Scholarship Fund
    For graduate or professional OT students who have financial need and demonstrate an interest in or a commitment to serving African Americans or African American communities
