Riley Cutler grew up in Herndon, Virginia and from a young age she was intrinsically fascinated by both the arts and sciences. Each field provided infinite ways to better society. Biomedical visualization emerged as a way to combine both passions into a singular profession. She began to view the field as a mechanism to overcome barriers of education and language, while providing endless opportunities for creative problem solving. Having discovered a profound interest in the career at an early age she attended Mississippi State University where she acquired a BA in Biological Sciences with a minor in art.
During her time at BVIS, Riley hopes to proceed into the field with intentionality regarding diversity and human-based design. She is especially excited about being in an environment that encourages collaboration and inspires creativity where she can hone her art skills. In her free time she loves to read and obsess over her houseplants.
