Why did you choose DHD at UIC?
First, because it is the only program in Illinois offering disability studies. Second, it embraces an interdisciplinary approach and counts with an excellent and diverse faculty and cohorts.

What do you want to do with a DHD degree?
I would love to conduct research that can assist state legislators in expanding services through HCBS programs for children with complex medical conditions and young adults with disabilities. Besides, I want to continue developing care coordination programs to meet the needs of the population with special needs and apply the knowledge acquired at the Disability Studies program.
