On behalf of the Government College Relations Council (GCRC), we are pleased to invite students to attend “Get Hired by Illinois: A Guide to Careers in Health Sciences,” a virtual session designed to connect college talent with opportunities in state government careers.
This free session will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM CST via Zoom. The event is designed to provide valuable insight and actionable strategies for students and individuals interested in pursuing careers in health-related roles within government settings.
During the session, representatives from the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS), Friend Health, University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) will share their experiences, perspectives, and knowledge of the field. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of career pathways in areas such as public health, patient care, research, and community impact.
Participants will also have access to session recordings and additional resources following the event.
This session is free to attend, but registration is required, and space is limited.
We encourage interested students to register early to secure their spot and take advantage of this opportunity to explore meaningful careers in health sciences while making a difference in communities across Illinois.
