The Provost, Dr. Susan Poser, and the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs, Dr. Robert Barish, are pleased to sponsor up to 17 full-time faculty members (or full-time staff as unit designees) to attend the Faculty Summer Institute (FSI), an educational teaching-and-technology event to be held at the UI Urbana campus on May 23rd and 24th at the I Hotel and Conference Center. The theme of this year\u2019s conference is \u201cAdapt, Evolve, Engage\u201d.<\/p>\n
Faculty or their designees are encouraged to apply for sponsorship by sending their name, appointment title, home unit, and a 300-word (or less) rationale for attending to Vice Provost Renee Taylor<\/a>. \u00a0The rationale should emphasize how the applicant anticipates the conference will benefit teaching and the home unit. Sponsorship will cover the cost of registration ($59) and the cost of ground transportation and lodging at a recommended venue hotel.<\/p>\n
