{"id":19782,"date":"2017-03-28T09:52:05","date_gmt":"2017-03-28T09:52:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/inside-ahs\/news-stories\/ccts-kl2-scholars-program-call-for-applications\/"},"modified":"2025-09-10T10:13:52","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T15:13:52","slug":"ccts-kl2-scholars-program-call-for-applications","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/inside-ahs\/news-stories\/ccts-kl2-scholars-program-call-for-applications\/","title":{"rendered":"CCTS KL2 Scholars Program call for applications"},"template":"","news_categories":[20],"news_tags":[],"class_list":["post-19782","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry","news_categories-other-opportunities"],"acf":{"intro_text_subtitle":"","intro_text_body":"<p>The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) invites applications for the Clinical and Translational Science (CATS) Scholars Awards.\u00a0 These two year awards provide a vigorous mentoring and career development program for clinical and translational scholars in disciplines and professions such as medicine, dentistry, nursing, psychology, pharmacy, and physical &amp; occupational therapy.<\/p>\n<p>The CATS Scholars Program is intended to accelerate career progression of scientists who have demonstrated a commitment to clinical and\/or translational research. Ideal candidates are junior faculty who will have completed the majority of their formal research training and now require protected time to develop a specific research project that will lead to an external funding.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits of the Program:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>75% release time for research and career development, which will be funded by the CATS Program up to $100,000 (the home department\/unit must commit to this release time in writing at the time of application).<\/li>\n<li>Funds to support scholarly activities.
