{"id":20280,"date":"2018-11-02T13:13:14","date_gmt":"2018-11-02T13:13:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/inside-ahs\/news-stories\/ron-schon-dies\/"},"modified":"2018-11-02T13:13:14","modified_gmt":"2018-11-02T13:13:14","slug":"ron-schon-dies","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/inside-ahs\/news-stories\/ron-schon-dies\/","title":{"rendered":"Ron Schon dies"},"template":"","news_categories":[],"news_tags":[],"class_list":["post-20280","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":{"intro_text_subtitle":"","intro_text_body":"<p>Architect<strong> Ron Schon<\/strong> passed away on October 27, 2018. \u00a0Most of Ron\u2019s 30-year career was spent at the Office of Capital Planning and Project Management, where he was involved in several key projects, including the UIC Forum, Stukel Tower, and the South Campus. \u00a0Ron was especially focused on ADA compliance of UIC projects, helping to ensure access for all UIC students, staff and faculty.<\/p>\n<p>During the past 5 years, Ron worked at the UIC Assistive Technology Unit.
