Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)"},"template":"","news_categories":[27],"news_tags":[],"class_list":["post-20646","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry","news_categories-covid-19"],"acf":{"intro_text_subtitle":"","intro_text_body":"<p>As outlined by Chancellor Amiridis in his <a href=\"https:\/\/today.uic.edu\/message-from-the-chancellor-11?utm_source=mailpoet&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=chancellor%40uic.edu\">March 9 communication<\/a>, we will need the cooperation of every member of the UIC community to protect the health and safety of everyone. This may involve cancelling in-person classes. Currently there are no plans to close the campus or cancel in-person classes, but it is necessary to plan how we would operate if these steps are taken.
