She is working on this with a colleague from Sociology and Latin American and Latino studies (Dr. Patrisia Mac\u00edas-Rojas) and Gender and Woman\u2019s studies (Dr. Ronak Kapadia). They will have a series of online events this year on the topic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">The following is more information about this initiative: The Institute for the Humanities is excited to participate in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.humanitieswithoutwalls.illinois.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Humanities Without Walls<\/a>\u00a0consortium. \u00a0This initiative creates new avenues for collaborative research, teaching, and the production of scholarship in the humanities, forging and sustaining areas of inquiry that cannot be created or maintained without cross-institutional cooperation. \u00a0The Humanities Without Walls consortium is the first of its kind to experiment at this large scale with cross-institutional collaboration. \u00a0 The Humanities Without Walls consortium is based at the Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and funded by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
