{"id":21414,"date":"2022-10-05T14:01:32","date_gmt":"2022-10-05T14:01:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/inside-ahs\/news-stories\/pt-faculty-awarded-a-2022-illinois-physical-therapy-foundation-research-grant\/"},"modified":"2022-10-05T14:01:32","modified_gmt":"2022-10-05T14:01:32","slug":"pt-faculty-awarded-a-2022-illinois-physical-therapy-foundation-research-grant","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/inside-ahs\/news-stories\/pt-faculty-awarded-a-2022-illinois-physical-therapy-foundation-research-grant\/","title":{"rendered":"PT faculty awarded a 2022 Illinois Physical Therapy Foundation research grant"},"template":"","news_categories":[15],"news_tags":[],"class_list":["post-21414","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry","news_categories-honors-and-recognition"],"acf":{"intro_text_subtitle":"","intro_text_body":"<div>\n<p class=\"m_-5210227050367290320xxmsonormal\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/iptfgives.org\/research\/iptf-1000-research-grant-application\/\">2022 Illinois Physical Therapy Foundation (IPTF) Research Grant<\/a> for a future survey study titled &#8220;Physical Therapist Assessment of Yellow Flags in Clinical Practice: A National Survey.&#8221; This will examine practice patterns of U.S. physical therapists in assessing yellow flags, which are defined as &#8220;psychological, social and environmental risk factors for prolonged disability and\/or failure to return to work as a consequence of musculoskeletal symptoms.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>PT faculty involved are: <a href=\"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/physical-therapy\/directory\/wielechowski-adam\/\">Adam Wielechowski<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/physical-therapy\/directory\/davey-deborah\/\">Deborah Davey<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/physical-therapy\/directory\/severin-richard-steven\/\">Richard Severin<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/physical-therapy\/directory\/gauthier-matt\/\">Matthew Gauthier<\/a>.
