{"id":24349,"date":"2024-10-24T15:01:20","date_gmt":"2024-10-24T20:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/inside-ahs\/?post_type=news&#038;p=24349"},"modified":"2024-10-24T15:01:20","modified_gmt":"2024-10-24T20:01:20","slug":"tanvi-bhatt-awarded-3-million-grant-from-the-national-institute-on-aging-nih","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/inside-ahs\/news-stories\/tanvi-bhatt-awarded-3-million-grant-from-the-national-institute-on-aging-nih\/","title":{"rendered":"Tanvi Bhatt awarded $3 million grant from the National Institute on Aging (NIH)"},"template":"","news_categories":[],"news_tags":[],"class_list":["post-24349","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":{"intro_text_subtitle":"","intro_text_body":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/physical-therapy\/directory\/bhatt-tanvi\/\">Tanvi Bhatt<\/a>, professor and director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cmbrl.ahs.uic.edu\/\">Cognitive Motor Balance Rehabilitation Lab<\/a>, has recently received a $3,090,725 (Over 5 years) National Institute on Aging (NIH) grant for a new five-year project, \u201cAging and task-specific training to reduce falls\u201d (2R01AG050672 &#8211; 06A1), starting 9\/12\/24.<\/p>\n<p>The project is a renewal of her previously NIA-funded clinical trial (R01AG050672, 2016-2021), which investigated the effects of mixed perturbation training on fall risk reduction in community-dwelling older adults.
