This policy ensures that the university\u2019s identity is not misrepresented, misused, or associated with unauthorized activities.<\/p>\n<p>Unauthorized use of the trademarked logo may create confusion regarding official endorsements, sponsorships, or affiliations, potentially leading to reputational or legal issues. Student organizations are encouraged to develop their own branding elements or use university-approved alternatives that align with institutional guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>For exceptions or special approvals, student groups must seek formal authorization through the University&#8217;s Strategic Marketing and Communications office.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exception to Policy on Student Group Use of Official University Trademarked Logo<br \/>\n<\/strong>Student groups may be granted a limited exception to use the official university trademarked logo on merchandise strictly for internal fundraising purposes. This exception is subject to the following conditions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Internal Use Only<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Merchandise featuring the university\u2019s logo must be sold exclusively to members of the university community (students, faculty, and staff) and cannot be marketed or sold to the general public.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Prior Approval Required<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 All designs incorporating the university logo must be submitted for review and receive written approval from Strategic Marketing and Communication before production.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Licensed Vendors<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Merchandise must be produced by an approved, licensed vendor that complies with the university\u2019s trademark and branding guidelines.
