Explore our <strong>summer course offerings<\/strong> through the <strong>UIC Assistive Technology Certificate Program<\/strong>\u2014no need to be enrolled in the certificate to register!<\/h3>\n<h3 class=\"\">\ud83d\udcda <strong>Course Lineup (Summer 2025)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>\ud83d\udcbb Online Asynchronous Courses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>June 16 \u2013 August 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/onlineprograms.uic.edu\/courses-3\/continuing-education\/health-and-health-sciences-courses\/assistive-technology-transportation\/\"><strong>DHD 594C \u2013 Assistive Technology &amp; Transportation (2 credit hours)<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThis course explores the use of assistive technology in various transportation settings, including private vehicles, public transit, airplanes, cruise ships, and rideshare services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>July 14 \u2013 August 8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/onlineprograms.uic.edu\/courses-3\/continuing-education\/health-and-health-sciences-courses\/dhd-559-ergonomics-safety-for-workers-with-disabilities\/\"><strong>DHD 559 \u2013 Ergonomics &amp; Safety for Workers with Disabilities (1 credit hour)<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThis 5-week course highlights key aspects of workplace accommodations, including ergonomic equipment, customized tools, accessible computer workstations, environmental adaptations, and emergency evacuation equipment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>\ud83d\udd27 Hybrid Course (Online + In-person)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>June 16 \u2013 August 8 (two in person weekend dates June 25-27 &amp; July 30-August 1) <\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/onlineprograms.uic.edu\/adaptive-equipment-design-and-fabrication\/\"><strong>DHD 441 \u2013 Adaptive Equipment Design and Fabrication (3 credit hours)<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nExamine the intersection of design and disability.
