Here are a few important updates and reminders to help you get started:<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s New<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve worked hard over the summer to ensure a smooth and productive experience with our technology resources. Here are some of the key updates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Adobe Software Renewal: <\/strong>If you haven\u2019t renewed your Adobe license yet, please do so via the WebStore. Without renewal, you won\u2019t be able to edit PDFs. <a href=\"https:\/\/webstore.illinois.edu\/shop\/product.aspx?zpid=6065\">https:\/\/webstore.illinois.edu\/shop\/product.aspx?zpid=6065<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>CrashPlan Reminder:<\/strong> Campus has stopped providing CrashPlan licenses. If you don\u2019t have a CrashPlan license, you will need to move all of your data saved locally to the cloud. Use department networked drives, UIC OneDrive, or Box for saving your data rather than saving locally to your PC\/Mac.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Windows 11: <\/strong>AHS-IT has upgraded most machines to Windows 11. If your computer is still running Windows 10, AHS-IT will be working with your department to determine a plan for your computer. Windows 10 reaches end-of-life on <strong>October 14, 2025<\/strong>. After that, devices still running Windows 10 will be disabled and prepped for disposal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>IT Support and Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We understand that technology plays a vital role in your day-to-day activities, and we&#8217;re here to support you. Here are some ways you can reach out to us:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Help Desk<\/strong>: Submit technical support requests at: <strong>help.uic.edu\/ahs<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Classroom Support<\/strong>: FTE Helpdesk technicians will be stationed in PEB and DHSP for the first two weeks of the semester.
