{"id":30167,"date":"2026-02-18T14:16:06","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T20:16:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/inside-ahs\/?post_type=news&#038;p=30167"},"modified":"2026-02-18T14:16:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T20:16:06","slug":"funding-opportunity-forecast-dod-arthritis-research-program-atrp","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ahs.uic.edu\/inside-ahs\/news-stories\/funding-opportunity-forecast-dod-arthritis-research-program-atrp\/","title":{"rendered":"Funding Opportunity Forecast: DoD Arthritis Research Program (ATRP)"},"template":"","news_categories":[17,18],"news_tags":[],"class_list":["post-30167","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry","news_categories-grants","news_categories-research"],"acf":{"intro_text_subtitle":"","hide_subtitle":false,"intro_text_body":"<p>The Arthritis Research Program (ATRP) will support innovative, high-impact research with clinical relevance that will optimize the health and well-being of all people affected by arthritis.<\/p>\n<p>ATRP released a pre-announcement for the following funding opportunities:<br \/>\n\u2022 Clinical Research Award<br \/>\n\u2022 Translational Research Award (NEW for FY26)<\/p>\n<p>Applications submitted to the FY26 ATRP must address one or more of the following focus areas, as applicable by award mechanism:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Prevention and Early Diagnosis<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify factors capable of predicting the onset or progression of disease<\/li>\n<li>Identify technologies, solutions or knowledge products for the prevention of arthritis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Treatment and Mitigation of Disease Progression\/Burden<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Topic 1: Evaluate interventions or treatment strategies that address the multifactorial burden of arthritis. This may include solutions that address one or more of the following factors: pain or other symptoms, function, psychosocial factors, comorbidities or the pathologic burden of disease.<\/li>\n<li>Topic 2: Develop solutions that address the multifactorial burden of arthritis.
