ASAP is a supportive tutoring and peer coaching program for AHS students, offering help with courses like A&P, chemistry, and math.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0also a welcoming place to study, connect, and build academic and professional skills. Learn more at\u00a0https:\/\/go.uic.edu\/asap<\/a><\/p>\n

We are excited to recognize two outstanding students for their dedication, engagement, and hard work this semester!<\/p>\n

Student Learning Award\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sayra Rodriguez, a junior majoring in Integrated Health Studies, was selected for her strong commitment to learning and academic growth. Her favorite class is Anatomy and Physiology I, and her top study tip is:<\/p>\n

\u201cReviewing material before and after class.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sayra\u2019s proactive approach to learning is\u00a0a great example\u00a0of how small, consistent habits can make\u00a0a big difference.<\/p>\n

Special thanks to Isha Mehta for recognizing and nominating Sayra for this award. Her thoughtful nomination highlighted Sayra\u2019s drive to learn and commitment to using every resource to succeed. Student Engagement Award\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jalen Starling, a senior majoring in Kinesiology, is recognized for his active involvement and positive presence in the ASAP space. His favorite class is Motor Control, and his go-to study strategy is:<\/p>\n

\u201cSpeaking out loud and teaching\u00a0others\u00a0topics of concern to reinforce the material in your mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jalen\u2019s willingness to engage, collaborate, and support others truly embodies the spirit of ASAP.<\/p>\n
