I\u2019m Amelia Brunskill, the liaison librarian for the Applied Health Sciences, and I wanted to share some information about library events this week, and also some quick tips\/reminders about the library that I hope might be helpful.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Library Expo and Tours (Library of the Health Sciences)<\/strong><\/p>\n This Tuesday (8\/25), from 11am-2pm, we have tours and information booths at the Library of the Health Sciences (1750 W Polk St).<\/p>\n You can learn about the Library\u2019s services, pet therapy dog Pawfficer HAM<\/a>, enjoy snacks and enter a raffle to win prizes!<\/p>\n For access needs and information, contact Jimmy Gonzalez-Vicker at jaimeg5@uic.edu<\/a><\/p>\n https:\/\/library.uic.edu\/events\/library-of-the-health-sciences-chicago-tour-and-expo-2\/<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kits for Class (Richard J. Daley Library)<\/strong><\/p>\n Also this Tuesday, from 11am-12pm, you can stop by the East Entrance of the Richard J. Daley Library Lobby to pick up a FREE kit full of class supplies and library swag* to help get you through the fall semester.<\/p>\n *Kits are available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last. If it is raining, we will distribute kits in the lobby of the library. <\/p>\n Lunch with a Librarian: Tech Talk (Richard J. Daley Library)<\/strong><\/p>\n This Wednesday (8\/26), from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, join us for a session of the UIC Library\u2019s Lunch with a Librarian workshop series. Stay for the full 1-hour session to get a free Jimmy Johns sandwich!*<\/p>\n We welcome new students and those wanting to get more familiar with UIC\u2019s technology to a workshop where you will learn about how to navigate the tech you\u2019ll need during your time at UIC, from sending emails using Outlook to printing on the Library\u2019s Wepa devices.<\/p>\n This event will take place in Rm 1-470.<\/p>\n For questions or access needs email\u00a0lib-engage@uic.edu<\/a><\/p>\n *Sandwiches available while supplies last on a first come, first served basis.
