About

Dr. LeFlore serves as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for undergraduate and masters level occupational therapy courses at UIC. She is the Lead OT at ReVive Center for Housing and Healing where she helped to establish two full-time OT positions in supportive housing with people who have experienced homelessness. She serves as the Vice President of Operations for Chicago Street Medicine, where she is co-leading a Community Needs Assessment to inform best practices in service provision with people experiencing unsheltered homelessness. She is a 2018-2019 Schweitzer Fellow. Andrea's doctoral work involved the design, implementation, and evaluation of a Participatory Community Assessment at ReVive Center, where she continues to guide the participatory action research process. She contributes to various homeless service initiatives as a collaborator on MacNeal Hospital's Medical Respite workgroup and as an Affiliate Consultant for the National Institute for Medical Respite Care with the National Health Care for the Homeless Council. She speaks locally and internationally in efforts to promote strengths-based, equity-focused, and community-informed health, housing and homeless services.
