Fabricio Balcazar member of expert committee for new NASEM report

A new report titled, “The Promise of Assistive Technology to Enhance Activity and Work Participation” finds that assistive products and technologies “hold promise for partially or fully mitigating the effects of impairments and enabling people with disabilities to work, but in some cases environmental and personal factors create additional barriers to employment.”

DHD professor Fabricio Balcazar is a member of the Committee on the Use of Selected Assistive Products and Technologies in Eliminating or Reducing the Effects of Impairments, which was convened by the Social Security Administration and the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM) to analyze the use of selected assistive products and technologies in adults for the report.
