Several of the courses in AHS are available to students both inside and outside of college.  For more information about registering for AHS courses, registration permissions, waitlists, and other registration related matters, refer to the links below.

New student

Orientation is required for new undergraduate students in the College of Applied Health Sciences.  Our undergraduate students participate in the campus orientation programs. Several of our graduate and professional programs also offer orientation programming before the semester begins.  Orientation is an important step in facilitating your transition to UIC and your program.

For undergraduates attending New Student Orientation, this will be the first opportunity to meet with an academic advisor. Academic advisors are unable to meet with students prior to participation in the New Student Orientation, so students are encouraged to sign up for an orientation session as soon as possible. Please direct any questions about orientation to ahs undeclared or rehab sciences depending on the program of interest.

Most transfer and readmit students are eligible to register for courses prior to attending orientation unless otherwise specified by their programs. Transfer students are expected to meet with their academic advisor during their orientation program to discuss their specific scheduling questions.  Readmit students are not required to attend orientation; therefore, they should make an appointment with an academic advisor prior to orientation.
