Admissions and Programs

Leading the field in education, scholarship and practice

We prepare students to be culturally responsive, client-centered, and occupation-focused practitioners who will become leaders and advocates in the profession. Our faculty pride themselves on fostering a welcoming atmosphere for students across all degree programs, and our entry-level OTD program is delivered within the dynamic context of our Department and University. The OT department is known for its highly acclaimed faculty and graduate programs (e.g., post-professional OTD, PhD). Entry-level occupational therapy students also benefit from learning in a research-intensive university located in a world-class city. Faculty and students thrive in this rich environment that draws scholars committed to creating tomorrow’s practice.

Located in the heart of Chicago, UIC offers students easy access to a city abounding with opportunities for learning, working, and playing.
