Funding Opportunity: The Pathways for Health Research Collective | More than Medicine

Medical discoveries have transformed millions of lives. But medicine alone cannot determine whether people thrive.
Health is shaped by where we live, learn, work, age, and connect with one another. Yet we, as a country, have never invested in understanding and improving those factors with the same force devoted to drugs.
That’s the opportunity. Health solutions science is building the evidence for what creates better health and leading the way in showing how those solutions can reach entire communities.
The Pathways for Health Research Collective is bringing together funders in this one-time funding opportunity to demonstrate the real-world impact of health solutions science and strengthen a national case for a sustainable enterprise. We seek projects that are beyond proof-of-concept and have a credible evidence base, but that still require real-world implementation at greater-than-pilot scale to have threshold-level impact on health outcomes or their proxies. This opportunity welcomes all applicable methodologies, interventions or knowledge that would achieve the desired outcomes of using health solutions science and rigorously demonstrate its value to health. Ultimately, quantitative changes in health outcomes or proxies are an essential component of what we seek to fund.
