The UIC Institute for Health Data Science Research operates under OVCR, is organizing an Industry Summit day on Friday November 6th 2026. Rather than small contracts to UIC from industry, the goal of this event is to foster UIC-industry partnerships. The Institute is organizing this event in view of an unlikely scenario where future federal awards may require explicit cooperation with industry partners.
This Summit edition will be focused on the following separate themes: oncology and dentistry, preferably with a blend of computing/engineering/data science. Like other team-forming events organized by the Institute, the Summit will follow a highly-structured, facilitated format, which should result in tentative project proposals by the end of the day.
