AHS Commencement RSVP/registration deadline

Download iCal FileThe campus has partnered with TASSEL to help our graduates’ experience. The TASSEL system will create a display to show your name, degree, and major on screen as you cross the stage. TASSEL will also have professional name readers record graduates' names to be played while they are on stage. All graduates who wish to participate in the Fall 2026 in-person AHS Commencement ceremony on December 12, 2026, must REGISTER to attend the ceremony. The deadline to RSVP is November 7.
Graduates should have received an email about TASSEL with their personalized registration link in early October if they applied for graduation for the semester (October 13 approximately). Graduates will need to create a password and set up your TASSEL account. If they did not receive a notification by October 15, please email the AHS Student Affairs Office at ahsinfo@uic.edu. Once a TASSEL invitation is received, graduates can then:
- Register/RSVP for the ceremony.
- Create personalized slide for the virtual ceremony
- Obtain STAGE PASS that will be used for check-in and announcing your name at the ceremony.
- Set up the “Record your Name” feature on the registration form to ensure that name is properly announced.
- Request GUEST TICKETS for the December ceremony.
NOTE: TASSEL registration links cannot be shared between graduates as each link is customized to each graduate.
For those who are unable to attend the in-person ceremony, there will have a virtual ceremony page that will broadcast the webcast of the in-person ceremony and have a slide for each graduate. You are encouraged to customize your slide with a photo and personal message by the TASSEL deadline in early November (November 7 deadline). The slides can be downloaded and shared with family and friends, or posted to social media, but will not be used in the in-person ceremony. The link to our virtual ceremony will be available on the university commencement website.
Stage Pass
Once graduates register through TASSEL, they will be able to obtain a “Stage Pass.” A Stage Pass is a personalized code that will be scanned at the commencement ceremony check-in and also as graduates process across the stage. The Stage Pass is coded to pull up each graduate’s name and degree information. Please bring your phone to the ceremony or print out your Stage Pass, as you will need it to check-in and before entering the stage.
