The Chancellor’s Committee on the Status of Latinos (CCSL) Recognition Awards are available. Please help us by nominating or promoting the awards! We have made it easy for you, with a marketing toolkit folder.
The Chancellor’s Committee on the Status of Latinos (CCSL) established the CCSL Recognition Awards in 2018 to acknowledge excellence in and service to the Latine community at UIC. To be eligible, nominees must identify as Latine and as members of the UIC community, be actively involved with Latine issues and/or service at UIC, and be role models or mentors to members of the Latine community.
Up to five recipients will be awarded annually to a faculty member, an academic professional, a civil service employee, a graduate student, and an undergraduate student.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Service to the Latine community
- Identify as Latine and member of UIC community
- Actively involved with Latine issues generally and/or within the Latine community at UIC
- Role models and/or mentors for the Latine community
The CCSL Awards nominations are due March 30, 2026. You can nominate yourself, a student, a colleague or peer, your advisee, your professor, or your administrator for these awards. Nominators must submit a brief biography, 2 letters of support, and include the nominee's resume or CV.
