Effective feedback is an essential component of clinical education and has the power to shape students' professional behavior and communication skills. While feedback is often focused on addressing areas for improvement or assessing task completion, it is also critical for fostering reflection, critical thinking, and growth as students learn to provide patient-centered care. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore practical strategies for providing inclusive, learning-centered feedback to support learners in clinical settings.
After this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Develop their skills in giving feedback by metacognitively reflecting on their experiences
- Use inclusive, learning-centered feedback practices to develop learners’ critical thinking skills and model patient-centered care
- Identify approaches to address challenges in providing meaningful feedback in clinical settings
EVENT FORMAT: This workshop will be online on Zoom.
