Join us this Earth Day for Sustain to Summit, a one-of-a-kind event that blends sustainability, fitness, and community!

Event Schedule

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM Plogging
Take part in a plogging adventure! Help keep our campus and surrounding community clean as we jog (or walk) while picking up litter. This Swedish-inspired activity combines fitness and environmental action, making a tangible impact on our local community. (The term “plogging” comes from the Swedish words plocka upp—to pick up—and jogga—to jog.) Supplies such as gloves and bags will be provided.

4:30 PM – 6:30 PM Information Tabling
Explore our interactive tabling area, featuring UIC Sustainability and other organizations committed to eco-friendly practices. Learn about recycling, reducing waste, and making everyday choices that benefit the planet.

5:30 PM Climbing Competition
Test your skills and compete with fellow climbers in our Earth Day-themed climbing competition. Push your limits and “summit” for sustainability!
