Download iCal FileThe University Library is offering a workshop on evaluating scholarly impact using a range of research metrics and tools.
This session will guide participants through strategies for analyzing citations, calculating the h‑index, and understanding alternative metrics that capture broader forms of engagement.
Participants will explore platforms such as Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar, Dimensions, and MyActivities. The workshop will also introduce altmetrics tools (Altmetric, PlumX) and their data sources, including social media. Best practices for the responsible and meaningful use of metrics in assessing scholarly influence will be discussed.
