YuJa Panorama Hands-on Workshop: Making Your PDFs Accessible
Join us for a hands-on workshop on using YuJa Panorama to improve PDF accessibility. Panorama replaces Blackboard Ally and integrates with Blackboard and Canvas to flag issues like missing tags, poor reading order, and inaccessible text. Using real examples, we’ll walk through interpreting Panorama scores, understanding PDF tagging, and applying fixes with Panorama’s tools—including the Structural Remediation tool for correcting reading order, headings, and lists.
This workshop supports UIC’s efforts to meet the Title II digital accessibility mandate, which requires all public universities to ensure digital content is accessible by 2026.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Interpret accessibility scores for PDFs in YuJa Panorama.
- Identify common PDF tagging and reading-order issues.
- Apply accessibility fixes using Panorama.
