Congratulations to all of those who received awards at the 2025 Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI) Meeting in Grand Rapids, MI:

Salon Awards (Professional)

BVIS alumnus David Ehlert (BVIS 1997) & Cognition Studio, Inc. received an Award of Merit in the Interactive Media: Didactic/Instructional Commercial category for Adaptive Immune Modulation Therapy (AIM-T) Explained

BVIS alumni Kate Zumach (BVIS 2017) and Anne Hughes (BVIS 2022) received an Award of Excellence in the Simulators, Prosthetics and Sculptural Products category for Travel Kit for Oncology Nurse Educators - Understanding the Pancreas.

BVIS alumni Regan Falin (BVIS 2021) and Amicus Visual Solutions (Michael Havranek (BVIS 2000) received Social Impact award for Handcuff Neuropathy.

Swarm Interactive (team including work from BVIS alumnus and former BVIS faculty member Scott Dixon (BVIS 2006), as well as BVIS alumni Casey Garr Taylor (BVIS 2019), and Edith March (BVIS 2019)) received an Award of Excellence in the Illustrated Text category for The Foundation and Art of Robotic Surgery.

Other AMI Awards

BVIS alumni Dena Matthews (BVIS 1998), Rachel Bajema (BVIS 2005), and Leah Lebowicz (BVIS 2012) were named Fellows of the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI). The designation of Fellow is a formal recognition of those AMI members who have generously contributed their skill, time, and effort to the Association by performing volunteer service. The purpose of the AMI's Fellow Program is to both recognize and encourage such volunteer participation in the activities of the Association.
