AHS active international partnerships audit

As we look to the future of AHS, one of our key priorities is to better understand, celebrate and strategically expand our global footprint. To help lead this effort, I am thrilled to connect with you as the college's newly appointed director of strategic partnerships and initiatives, Sangeetha Madhavan.

Our first major task is to build a comprehensive inventory of all international partnerships and collaborations currently thriving within AHS.

Why this matters

Our faculty and students are engaged in incredible work around the world, but much of this impact goes unrecorded at the college level. By mapping these global connections, we will be able to:

  • Elevate our profile: Provide the marketing and communications team with rich stories to showcase our global impact.
  • Identify synergies: Spot opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration and resource sharing.
  • Support your faculty: Better understand where global research, exchange and clinical work are happening so we can provide targeted institutional support.

What we are looking for

Because we are in the initial discovery phase, we want to capture everything. Please do not worry about whether a formal, signed agreement is currently in place. If it is an active global connection, we want to know about it.

For the purpose of this inventory, we define an international partnership as any collaboration with international higher education institutions, foreign governments, international hospitals and clinics, or organizations abroad that support academic, research or creative activities.

Please report activities including:

  • Research and scholarship: Individual or team-based research collaborations, joint publications or co-authored grants.
  • Academic and student programs: Faculty-directed study abroad programs, student or faculty exchange programs, or cooperative education initiatives.
  • Clinical and professional partnerships: collaborations with hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, community organizations, and public health agencies.
  • Education and training: joint courses, workshops, continuing education programs, capacity-building initiatives, or curriculum development.
  • Institutional agreements: MOUs, articulation agreements, memoranda of cooperation, or other formal institutional partnerships.
  • Other international collaborations: partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, professional organizations, industry partners, or international consortia.
