AHS Inclusive Excellence Task Force Subcommittee on Holistic Admissions releases cross-departmental recommendations
The AHS Inclusive Excellence Task Force Subcommittee on Holistic Admissions has released cross-departmental recommendations. The culmination of the committee’s work was presented during the fall 2021 AHS College Meeting, with a subsequent follow-up meeting in February 2022. During the February meeting, academic departments separated into respective breakout rooms to discuss their thoughts on the committee’s findings. Thoughts and recommendations where recorded and compiled into the cross-departmental recommendations.
Members of the subcommittee: Leo Arguelles (Chair), Mohamed Ali, Fabricio Balcazar, Margaret Czart, Mario Diaz, Marjani Jones, Olympia Kalagidis, Tina Lam and Jenica Lee.
The subcommittee was formed March 2021 and its mission is to:
- Determine best practices to increase diversity within the respective programs of the college
- Review application/admission/attrition/graduation rates per department, especially among under-represented minority populations
- Review and highlight the Department of Occupational Therapy's holistic admissions process
