AHS research team is awarded a NIDILRR three-year field initiated project grant
Congratulations to Kelly Hsieh (PI), Yochai Eisenberg (co-PI), David Marquez (co-I), Lieke van Heumen (co-I), and Jinsong Chen (co-I) on being awarded a National Institute on Disability, Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) three-year (10/1/20-9/30/23), $600,000 grant for the field-initiated project entitled, “We Walk 4 Health: A mHealth Intervention to Promote Physical Activity for Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)”
The objective is to improve physical activity of adults with IDD including minority through use of technology (e.g., text messages, Fitbit, social networking), peer support, and person-centered motivational practices.
