AHS Scholarship Applications – Deadlines Approaching
Several Applied Health Sciences (AHS) scholarship applications are now open in the Scholarship and Application Program system (SnAP) for currently enrolled AHS students. Listed below are potential funding opportunities for urgent financial needs and other awards for the current academic year. Some of these opportunities are ongoing throughout the academic year, others have deadlines approaching in early December. All of the scholarships with the exception of the AHS Van Doren Scholarship are available in through the UIC Scholarship and Awards Program (SnAP) system. Please see additional details below.
Scholarships for AHS Students:
A Mother’s Love Scholarship: Scholarship for continuing AHS students with demonstrated financial need and experience in or commitment to working with historically underserved or underprivileged populations. Refer to scholarship details in SnAP for more information. Applications due in SnAP by December 12, 2022.
Elena M. Zavos Isotita Endowed Scholarship Award: Scholarship for students with demonstrated financial need and interest in, involvement with, or commitment to the transgender identifying community. Refer to scholarship details in SnAP for more information. Applications due in SnAP by December 12, 2022.
Vivette Ravel Rifkin Memorial Scholarship Award: Scholarship for students with demonstrated financial need and who are blind or otherwise visually impaired. Refer to scholarship details in SnAP for more information. Applications due in SnAP by December 12, 2022.
AHS Scholarship Award: Scholarship for continuing AHS students with demonstrated service and volunteerism to the UIC and local community. Refer to scholarship details in SnAP for more information. Applications due in SnAP by December 12, 2022.
Scalzitti Scholarship Award: Scholarship for continuing AHS students with demonstrated academic achievement and financial need. Applications due in SnAP by December 12, 2022.
AHS Van Doren Scholarship Award funded by the AHS Office of the Dean for AHS students for unexpected financial needs. This award is available on a rolling basis throughout the academic year.
