Dear Students,

We are excited to invite you to participate in a unique research study that aims to improve student retention through the use of AI mentors. This project will leverage AI mentors to provide personalized guidance, helping you stay motivated and confident throughout your academic journey.

This study will focus on students enrolled in the College of Applied Health Sciences classes. Our goal is to understand how AI mentors can boost academic motivation.

Why Participate?

Collaborate in designing AI mentors that will be tailored to meet your needs and preferences.

Share your experiences to help us identify gaps in current academic support efforts.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • First-year undergraduate students enrolled in College of Applied Health Sciences classes.
  • Twelve students from diverse academic backgrounds to ensure a range of perspectives.

What Participation Involves:

  • Co-creating AI mentor designs through a participatory design process.
  • Time commitment: Meeting virtually once a month for 4 months in 90-minute focus groups and completing surveys.

To compensate for your time, participants will receive a $200 Amazon gift card ($50/session)
