Andrew Boyd is a co-author of "An Experimental Validation of Masking in IEC 60601-1-8:2006-Compliant Alarm Sounds," the paper awarded the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society’s 2021 Jerome H. Ely Human Factors Article Award for the best article in the 2020 volume of Human Factors. The award will be presented at a special session during the 65th HFES International Annual Meeting on Thursday, October 7 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel.
