The AHS Office of Student Affairs is excited to announce that we’re hiring undergraduate teaching assistants (UTAs) for Fall 2025! If you're an AHS undergraduate student who loves connecting with others and sharing your experiences, this is a great opportunity for you.

What’s the role?
As a UTA for the AHS 100 First Year Seminar course, you’ll help support our first-year students by assisting with lectures, projects, and introducing them to the UIC resources that helped you along the way. You’ll also have the chance to get creative, develop your leadership skills, and make a real impact on new students' experiences.

Key Details:

  • Time commitment: 6-10 hours/week, including the AHS 100 class period on either Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays from 11:00 am - 11:50 am.
  • What we’re looking for: Strong communication skills, enthusiasm for AHS and UIC, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Benefits: This role will help you enhance your leadership and presentation skills, offer mentoring and networking opportunities, and provide valuable team-building experiences.
